Firefighter Dan Estrada saved a blind dog who had gone missing in woods for 8 days. Sage a 12-year-old Labrador is blind and had gone missing eight days earlier-wandering off from her house one day in late night. Her owner searched her everywhere with the help of their neighbors, but, they did not succeed to trace her. At last, they had left the hope and thought their dog might have fallen prey to mountain lions found in large number in that area. However, one day when firefighter Dan Estrada and his friend Vincent Lopez planned to spend some time together in the beautiful redwood forest at his home at in California's San Lorenzo Valley. Estrada his two dogs and Lopez dogs walked down a path down to a pretty stream. That's where they saw the dog, who was not moving. Estrada noticed the dog in the stream who was not moving and appeared weak. Estrada ran to Sage and kissed her. In fact, Estrada knew the dog very well because she used to play with his dogs every evening, Estrada said that he could not believe that she is alive and it's a miracle. Estrada hoisted the dog on his shoulders and carried her to his home. His wife contacted the owners of sage, and when they got to know that their dog is alive, they could not believe because they had left the hope. The sage owner's offered $1000 reward to Estrada, but he refused to accept any reward. They suggested that money should be donated to animal welfare. He said, "I am happy we found the dog." The community gathered in Sage owner's place, and they celebrated her return. One neighbor cooked her a steak. This news has soon gone viral, and Estrada has been busy receiving phone calls and messages from all over the world who are moved by his story.
