She got her second role on Doordarshan in serial ‘Aane Wala Pal” in which she played a supporting role. She also played a supporting role in star plus serial Kahi Kisi Roj that gave her recognition. However, she became hugely popular after she played the main lead role in the serial “Kasauti Zindagi Ki” in which she played the main role of “Prerna”. It made her a household name. She became the first female contestant to win “Big Boss” season 4. Shweta Tiwari married TV Actor Raja Chowdhary in 2000. They both have a daughter Palak. However, in 2006, she separated from him. She blamed Raja Chowdhary for Physical violence. They both got divorced in 2012. In 2013, she met Abhinav Kohli and they both got married in 2013. In 2016, she gave birth to Son Reeyansh Kohli. However, problems started to emerge in their personal life in 2017. In 2019, Shweta Tiwari filed a complaint against Abhinav Kohli where she accused of him physical violence against her daughter, Palak. She got divorced from him in 2019. Recently, they both had a dirty fight in public where Abhinav accused her of leaving son Reeyansh alone in Mumbai to participate in the Khatron Ke Khiladi show. However, she responded that she informed him about leaving over the Phone and Reeyansh was at home with his grandmother and daughter Palak.
